Business-Community Partnerships

Many community organisations such as charities and Job Network members have recognised the need to engage with corporate partners. Setting up such partnerships so that they are mutually beneficial is no small feat. In many instances internal readiness needs to be established, existing prjudices need to be overcome and solid support processes need to be created and implemented.

We have helped a number of NGO's and Job Network members in establishing such partnerships with small and large corporate partners. This is usually not a fast process and probability of failure is high if internal buy-in is not created early and pilot projects that deliver results don't materialise to keep the partners engaged.

We have also created business engagement strategies and helped NGO's to utilise corporate volunteers. In this area we are especially interested in preparing you for managing corporate volunteers, having access to a volunteer brokerage and setting up projects for mutual success. Going beyond the obvious areas of building, revegetation and general maintenance in volunteering is key to getting more from corporate volunteers. We can help you with using volunteers as mentors, as coaches, as trainers and working as technical experts in your organisation.

Finally, we have extensive experience with pre-employment programs for highly disdvantaged clients that we can run on your behalf or make available for licensing. For more detail please see the Passport to Work program.
