Advanced Case Mgmt

Many of the long-term unemployed and highly disadvantaged clients in the Job Network today no longer respond to a compliance based case management approach. They are often adept at ‘playing the system’ and telling their consultant what they want to hear. At the same time most face serious emotional or mental health issues and would really benefit from a different approach.

So what can be done? Juno Consulting has worked with these client groups for many years and has developed a set of tools and approaches that consistently yields results. The coaching framework we have developed over time is now sufficiently proven and documented that we can train Job Network consultants in our techniques.

Advanced Case Management is a program designed to help you work out what to say and how to say it. We have developed 12 categories that 90% of long-term unemployed Job Network clients fall into and we have designed a coaching and case management strategy for each of these categories.

Advanced Case Management begins with one day of training in which we present our case management and coaching framework and illustrate the coaching techniques. This foundation training day covers:

  • Homing in on the root cause holding back long-term unemployed clients
  • Case management and coaching framework for long-term unemployed clients
  • Coaching strategies and techniques targeting their barriers to gaining employment
  • Working through coaching examples
  • How to have straight conversations with clients
The foundation training alone will not give the consultants the skills and confidence to use the advanced case coaching and feedback is required so that the group can learn from each other, their own mistakes and get specific feedback from the facilitators. This is done through 3 half-day group coaching sessions that follow the foundation training in bi-weekly intervals.
