Job Success
In late 2006 Juno Consulting developed the Job Success program for VLTU Job Network clients. We delivered 10 Job Success programs in 2007 and over 20 in 2008. We consistently achieved outcome rates between 50 and 70%.
The Job Success program is run at one Job Network office, with 20-24 ISCA candidates.The Job Success program targets ISCA clients who are deemed in need of individual coaching and advanced case management by their consultant. Typically, the majority of the group will be very long-term unemployed or candidates with ‘hidden’ issues.
Passport to Work
Passport to Work is a pre-employment training program for unemployed job seekers. Five days of attitudinal and job search training are combined with a three months facilitated mentoring program. Business mentors from partner companies aid the participants in their job search and keep them focussed on achieving their goals.
This program has been run successfully over 20 times in Melbourne, Sydney, Bendigo, Geelong and Ballarat. It achieved an average success rate of 60% of participants gaining employment at the end of the program.
Advanced Case Mgmt
Many of the long-term unemployed and highly disadvantaged clients in the Job Network today no longer respond to a compliance based case management approach. They are often adept at ‘playing the system’ and telling their consultant what they want to hear. At the same time most face serious emotional or mental health issues and would really benefit from a different approach.
So what can be done? Juno Consulting has worked with these client groups for many years and has developed a set of tools and approaches that consistently yields results. The coaching framework we have developed over time is now sufficiently proven and documented that we can train Job Network consultants in our techniques.
Catalyst
The Catalyst program is a High-Intensity job search and coaching program run jointly by Juno Consulting and a Job Network agency. In contrast to our Job Success program, this program splits the workload between us and the Job Network partner. It requires the Job Network partner to commit a full-time project manager for 8-9 weeks to the program and to allocate highest priority to reverse marketing the candidates.
In return for this significant investment, the Catalyst program has proven to deliver the highest success rates of any of our programs, with several Job Network sites achieving 80-90% intermediate outcome rates!
